Our work - Communication and reporting

Block Exemption Web Site

Client brief

Our client’s brief was to achieve compliance with the new automotive block exemption requirements, specifically with regard to providing service technical information to the independent motor trade, as well as its existing authorised repairer network.

Our solution

The long term most cost-effective, readily maintainable means of communication to all EU markets was to develop a website. The site was set up with different levels of security to accommodate the different user groups:

  • IMT's could access service technical information directly - chargeable information would be referred initially to the client, with on-line purchase to be developed as a future module
  • Applications for Authorised Repairer status could be monitored across Europe
  • Access to Authorised Repairer standards could be provided following successful application for a password

We provided support to our client to develop appropriate technical information and standards for Authorised Repairers. We also provide on-going support to monitor applications for access to the standards, as well as monthly statistical analysis of users accessing the site.

The site has since been further developed as the world wide communication medium for all markets’ standards.

Result

Updates and additions to technical information and Authorised Dealer and Repairer standards are achieved in a short time-frame, with the additional facility of national importers being able to preview and self-edit information specific to their market on-line.
